Being "of a certain age," I play this game with the new Retro edition, which has the original 1970s design. The action cards then had words, not symbols, and they were more clear (if one knew English, of course). But most of today's players don't know the correct rule for playing a Draw Four Wild, or what to do when an action card starts a hand, even though the rule sheet is clear on these points. But today's rules don't have the partnership game I played in college in the late 1970s, or mention that in two-handed UNO, the Reverse is treated as a Skip (otherwise, it would be pointless).

Question, in that last example game in the last round why did Player D win the trick with the King of Hearts and not Player C with their Ace of Diamonds (A higher card)?

lovely video. When played for "money" or "tournament mode" with chips, I play it that way: when somebody busts, she needs to put another chip (min. bet or "ante", that is optional) in the pot. That way there is another strategic element: maybe you prefer to lose a standard bet than press your luck risking more bets (of course it always depends on bankroll, pot size, who is winning, etc.)

This is a game my mom taught me to play. She has only ever won it once, though, and she plays with the rule of removing all 4 cards if the first and fourth cards have the same ranking.

There are so many solitare variations (or patience if you live in the UK). I can barely name 5.

Please suggest other similar card games for exchanging cards!

This was full of Supremely unhelpful information. It took me less time to read the instructions when I got to the table. I mean the title is how to play and you’re doing a full unboxing accounting. I had sent the video to a friend and it scared her off from playing with us.. please change the title to something like “so you want to play settlers of catan?” And make it clear this is a full rundown and not a how to play
